Roz Says: Shorter Days and Longer Nights!

It's that time again... to "Turn Back the Clock!"

As silly as it sounds, I really don't like this time of year! I love the turning of the leaves and the changing weather, but when it comes to the shorter days, that's a NO NO for me! I feel like I am being put on curfew!

On the bright side... The days will start getting longer in less than two months, AND... I love the holidays!

Roz Says: Thanksgiving is Everyday NOT Just in November

With Thanksgiving right around the corner I have been giving a lot of thought to those who touched my life in a positive way — companies, people, products, etc. NOTE: Negative situations can be cause for giving thanks as well. We learn and grow from everything that happens to us — good, bad or indifferent. It sometimes amazes me how oddly professional people behave!

For now... I would like to concentrate on the positive. Perhaps we'll get to the negative later on!

I will be writing about this in the month of November. Stay tuned! I will be sharing some of my favorites.
I have been blessed with many people who have made a *life-defining* contribution(s) in my life. Two major players are:

Tony Robbins — Many of the things that happened afterwards and are happening now are direct effects of working with Tony's programs. While I did the work, Tony's programs and support were there to urge me on!:

Tony has to be one of the most generous people I have come across. His generosity enabled me to attend his "Unleash The Power Within" seminar at the Meadowlands in New Jersey two years ago. After using the program, just one month... I had given a live testimonial — via telephone — when Tony was appearing on QVC. Never did I expect I would be the recipient of a complimentary ticket (worth $700) to the event. I could have never gone had I not been blessed with such generosity!

Two other valuable lessons Tony taught me were:
  • Your past is NOT your future!
  • You did NOT fail, IF you leaned something!
NAPP - The National Association of Photoshop Professionals — At my very first Photoshop (Live) Seminar in NYC — with Scott Kelby — I learned that those things I thought I could never learn to do in Photoshop or would take me forever to learn were just a few clicks away! If I could bottle how I felt that day I would make millions! It was life-changing and has provided me the passion necessary to create artsy, unique and beautiful images from almost anything. I do not look at anything quite the same anymore.

Roz view: An Evening With Joel Osteen

Friday evening I attended "An Evening With Joel Osteen" at Madison Square Garden in NYC. It was a fabulous event, lots of Praise and Worship Singing. I'll probably be hoarse tomorrow!

While Joel was the main speaker, we also heard from Victoria Osteen, Joel's Wife, Dodie Osteen, Joel's Mother and Paul Osteen, Joel's Brother.

IF Joel comes to a city near you, you owe it to yourself. Bring your whole family! You will be glad you did!

Visit http://www.JoelOsteen.com to learn more about Joel Osteen and listen to some of his sermons. You can also see real-time sermons online.

Roz View: Joel Osteen - Madison Square Garden

It's hard to believe a year has passed since I attended "An Evening With Joel Osteen" at NYC's Madison Square Garden. It's one-year today!

I am getting ready to attend my second "Evening With Joel Osteen" just eight hours from now. It's very exciting to me. Last year was my first time and going alone I waited until almost the last minute to get my ticket. My self-imposed penalty for procrastinating was to get a seat in the "over-flow" room and watch the event through "closed-circuit TV!(I think it is called. We watched it through a big screen on the stage!)

This year I was proactive and my ticket is for a seat in front of the stage and I will be attending the event "live." I can't wait!

Joel is a powerful speaker. I watch him weekly on Cable TV and always come away with a high-spirit of motivation and peace! It seems his weekly message is almost always timed to my own life's events and/or challenges for that week.

Anyway... I believe there might still be seats available. They go for a nominal fee of $10.00 each IF you buy them at the Madison Square Garden box office in person. IF they have an over-flow room as they did last year the seats were $5.00 each. IF you live in the New York City area... check it out! (I just checked and you must buy the tickets at the box office IF they are available. Online says for this event are closed!)

BTW (by the way) IF you cannot attend you should get "last year's event" on DVD at http://www.JoelOsteen.com. Believe it or not, each time I watch it, it is more powerful than the last. I highly recommend it.

New York City Jewish Artist Uses Her Judaic eCards Digital Design Skills to Raise Money for Hurricane Katrina Victims

After wracking her brain on how she could personally help the Hurricane Katrina victims, New York City Digital Artist and owner of Graphics Schmaphics Exclusive Judaic Greetings Club, an online Judaic eCard Club... Roz Fruchtman decided to use the upcoming Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah as a stimulus for her donation.

New York City (PRWEB) September 12, 2005 -- After wracking her brain on how she could personally help the Hurricane Katrina victims, New York City Digital Artist and owner of Graphics Schmaphics Exclusive Judaic Greetings Club, an online Judaic eCard Club... Roz Fruchtman decided to use the upcoming Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah as a stimulus for her donation.

Roz says, with Rosh Hashanah less than a month away, the next 30 days are the busiest time of year for my Judaic Greeting Card website. After wracking my brain on how I could help... It became crystal clear to use what I already do.

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. At this time Jewish people reflect on the past year's actions, make amends and start new. Using this concept seems fitting to help Hurricane Katrina Survivors move forward to begin again.

Roz's goal is to use her online Judaic eCard Club, Graphics Schmaphics Exclusive Judaic Greetings Club, during the busiest time of the Jewish year to generate more income for Hurricane Katrina donations than she could personally give on her own.

Roz says... why not capitalize on what already is. She says... "more people flock to the site during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur than any other time of the year.

Roz Says: Hurricane Katrina: It's NOT About Me / Every Little Bit Helps!

Just wanted to share my own feelings here...

I used to think... in times of crisis... IF "I" could not give a substantial amount 'how could "I" really help!'

During another crisis I heard a message from Dr. Phil that changed this way of thinking. (paraphrasing his words) Dr. Phil said: it did not matter how little one gave, that everything counted. I realized then it WAS ME that was feeling inadequate and that giving was the dominate word here.

Even though I now believe this... this evening I was watching the news and saw all those giving at Lincoln Center in NYC and all the trucks that were driving down. They had so much stuff that they could not fit it all on the trucks. While I was proud to be a New Yorker, once again I felt inadequate and thought: "What could my small donation from each of my eCard sales for the next 30 days do!" I felt silly, and then remembered Dr. Phil's words. (Everything counts!)

May we never know such devastation again.
